WELCOME OUR NEW PASTOR, CHANDLER GATEWOOD

Cain's Chapel Global Methodist Church, located at 96 Lightwood Road in Holtville, at the corner of Hwy 111 and Lightwood in Slapout, is pleased to announce that Rev. Chandler Gatewood has been selected as their new pastor. Rev. Gatewood, along with his wife, Kaitlynn Brunson Gatewood, and their young son, Declan, are excited to join the congregation and begin this new chapter in ministry.

Rev. Gatewood brings experience to Cain’s Chapel, having previously served as the Student Ministry Leader at Epworth Methodist Church in Phenix City, Alabama, where he nurtured and mentored the youth of the church. Additionally, he served as the Associate Pastor at St. James Methodist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, where he further honed his pastoral leadership skills and deepened his commitment to serving the community. Rev. Gatewood graduated from Auburn University in 2020 and went on to complete his Master of Divinity degree from the Rawlings School of Divinity at Liberty University in 2023. His academic and professional training has prepared him to lead with passion, knowledge, and a deep love for God and his congregation.

Rev. Gatewood’s first Sunday service at Cain’s Chapel will be on Sunday, January 26th at 10:30 AM, and he invites all members of the community to come and join in worship as he begins his ministry at this historic church. The service will be followed by a covered dish lunch, providing an opportunity for fellowship and for everyone to meet and get to know the Gatewood family.

Worship services at Cain’s Chapel are held every Sunday at 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM, and all are welcome to attend and experience the warmth and spirit of the congregation.

Rev. Gatewood expressed his excitement to begin this new journey, saying, “I am so excited to extend my heartfelt greetings to each of you as the new pastor of this wonderful church. My family and I are honored to become a part of the Cain’s Chapel family. From the moment we arrived, we have been so warmly welcomed, and it’s clear to us that we are stepping into a vibrant, loving community. We are filled with anticipation and excitement for all that God has planned for our church family. We are eager to get to know each of you, to walk alongside you in faith, and to serve God together. We believe that with His guidance, God will accomplish great things through Cain’s Chapel, both in our community and beyond.”
